G. S. Ramesh, MD, FACP

About

A native of India, Dr. Ramesh and has been in private practice in Houston since 1999. He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Scott & White Hospital, Texas A & M University College of Medicine in Temple, Texas from 1979-1981 and his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Lloyd Noland Clinic and Hospital, affiliated with the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama from 1976-1979.

He began his practice in San Angelo, Texas, from 1981 to 1999, first with Gastroenterology Associates, then with the Shannon Clinic. During his time in West Texas, he was Chief of GI Endoscopy at Shannon Hospital (St. John’s Campus); Member of the Board of Trustees, President of the Medical Staff and Chief of Medicine, Concho Valley Regional Hospital; President of the Concho Valley Medical Society, and member of the Credentialing and Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committees, Shannon Hospital, St. John’s Campus. He also taught nursing students at Angelo State University.

In Houston, he has been and is presently a member of four committees at 
Memorial Hermann-Memorial City Hopsital: Endoscopy, Medical Records, Credentialing, and Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

Dr. Ramesh has been and is the Clinical Assistant Professor, division of internal medicine and gastroenterology at the University of Texas, Health Science Center, Houston, Texas. The senior medical students spend one month of training and observing Dr. Ramesh in his daily treatment of patients.

Dr. Ramesh is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Gastroenterological Association; Harris County Medical Society, and Texas Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

In his spare time, Dr. Ramesh enjoys ball room dancing, tennis, and movies.
